SAFARI EQ5: Murchison Falls
- Kibale- Queen Elizabeth - Gorilla Tracking (Bwindi) (9 Days)
Day 1: Kampala - Kabale
- Early morning, depart your hotel for Murchison falls National
Park in North -Western Uganda. This provides you chance
to go through our historical Luwero triangle where Uganda's
"liberation" war was fought in the early 1980s.
- Stop in Masindi town for a lunch at Masindi hotel
- Proceed to the Park through the thick forest where you
will be welcomed by the giggling bushbucks. You will arrive
at around 1645pm in time to cross the Nile and bask in the
sunset at Paraa safari lodge.
- Have your dinner and spend overnight at Paraa safari lodge.
This hotel has commendable facilities including swimming
pool. You could even swim after such a long journey.
Day 2: Murchison Falls
- Take an early morning game drive through this marvelous
plateau and savannah grassland. The morning drive enables
you to view elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, etc .
Have your picnic lunch on top of the falls as you are awed
by this beauty of the falls and the surrounding scenery.
- Take a boat cruise from the bottom of the falls to Paraa
as you bask in the sunset
- Go for an evening game drive
- Return to Para hotel for an overnight
Day 3: Murchison falls - Kibale
- Drive to Kibale via Masindi and Hoima
- Have your lunch at Kolping hotel Hoima
- Proceed to Fortportal and spend your overnight at Travelers
Inn.
Day 4: Kibale Forest
- Chimp tracking in the forest
- Forest walk, view birds and varied species of monkeys.
- Gaze at this thick - multi canopy rain forest
- Have a picnic lunch in Kibale Forest , after which proceed
to Fortportal town for an overnight at Travelers Inn.
Day 5: Kibale - Queen Elizabeth
- Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Lunch at Mweya Safari lodge
- Head for a boat cruise at Kazinga channel
- Take an evening game drive
- Retire for an overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Wake up early for a morning game drive and witness the
sunrise, and the Rwenzori mountains (also known as mountains
of the moon) providing a superb scenic enjoyment. On the
game drive, you will see lions, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda
kobs, topis, bushbucks and several others plus a variety
of bird species.and a magnificent vegetation. Return to
hotel for a late breakfast.
- After breakfast, head for a crater lakes view and the
Rift valley. Then return to hotel for lunch.
- After lunch, take a rest and head a boat cruise on Kazinga
channel.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
- Early breakfast and depart from Queen Elizabeth national
park
- Through the Ishasha sector of QENP, you will view the
interesting tree - climbing lions
- Arrive Bwindi in the evening, have your dinner and spend
the night at Buhoma Community Guest house or Buhoma homestead.
Day 8: Gorilla tracking
- Early morning, pave your way into this impenetrable forest
- home of the world's most endangered species - mountain
gorillas. The landscape is hilly & steep and offers a variety
of animals such as baboons, golden and colubus monkeys plus
plenty of bird species
- Return in the evening to dine and spend a night at Buhoma
community guest house or Buhoma homestead.
Day 9: Bwindi - Kampala
- Breakfast at Buhoma and depart for Kampala.
- Through the Switzerland of Africa
- Have stop - over at your leisure at spots of your interest
- Enjoy your lunch in Mbarara
- Then proceed to Kampala
